'No significant change': Government data suggests UK's 'green' workforce shrank between 2014 and 2019

Despite gains in offshore wind and low carbon vehicles and infrastructure, the number of people employed in 'green fields' dropped by more than 30,000 between 2014 and 2019, according to the ONS. Progressive think tank Institute for Public Policy Research has put the figure at an even greater 1.6 million green jobs.
