First geothermal cooling plant in Masdar City, UAE starts operations

ADNOC and the National Central Cooling Company PJSC (Tabreed) have announced the start of operations at G2COOL, the first district cooling project in the Gulf Region to harness geothermal energy. The cooling of buildings accounts for up to 70% of the UAE’s electricity consumption.

Exergy to supply 5.6MW binary geothermal system to EDC’s Bago field, Philippines

The project had been shut down in 2010 amidst concerns over the steam field’s capability of supporting the 49-MW power plant. The scope of work is EPC, with Engineering, Procurement and Commissioning by Exergy and Construction in cooperation with a local qualified Partner.
