The company Naturwärme Kirchweidach-Halsbach GmbH & Co. KG has reported successful results after the drilling of a geothermal borehole near the Waldweinacht site in Halsbach in Bavaria, Germany. After extensive testing, the well has been found to produce thermal water at a temperature of over 107 °C and a flow rate of over 100 liters/second. Drilling for the project started back in January 2023 , initially targeting a depth of 3500 meters.
