BASF inks land purchase agreement for battery site in Canada

Cathode active materials (CAM) producer BASF has signed an agreement to purchase land for a future CAM materials production, battery metals recycling and refining site in Quebec. According to BASF, the site will “rely on competitive hydropower to further reduce the carbon footprint of its products compared to the industry average.”.
