EEP confirms 25 MW at Aluto Langano geothermal project in Ethiopia

An agreement has been reached with the World Bank to excavate four more wells, the project will be completed until September 2024. While Aluto Langano is the site of a previously operating geothermal power plant, it has though not been producing for many years. The project has seen some delay after drilling started in 2021.

Tender – Feasibility study on geothermal power generation from brine, Olkaria, Kenya
