We just have to move away from the idea that it’s for vulnerable households to the idea that it’s for everyone. They meet up, and they have something called the ‘merry-go-round’ system. Everyone I know in Kenya is involved in a chama. I didn’t realise that virtually everyone in Kenya is involved with a chama.
