Australian utility Telstra Energy has signed a 10-year deal with Intellihub for the provision of smart metering services. The utility will install Intellihub’s Intelli-M smart meters and Intelli-ConX communications bridge for data telemetry and connectivity as part of the deal.

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has announced funding for Intellihub in a virtual power plant (VPP) project to leverage a network of 2 million smart meters and interface with over 140,000 customer energy resources for optimised load control.
