A small metal platform at the top, 48 metres above the floor of a peatland rainforest reserve, provides a unique, 360-degree vantage point to witness one of the most biodiverse, carbon-rich habitats left on Earth. In fact, peatland contains up to 50 per cent carbon content, compared to the two per cent typically found in mineral soil.
