Many people are already familiar with Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, and China as some of the leaders of geothermal development in Asia. In September 2023, the Energy Market Authority (EMA) called for proposals for a nationwide non-invasive survey in Singapore , signaling increased interest in geothermal exploration.
