In 2023, our Focus on Geothermal webinar series featured 22 sessions covering a diverse range of topics and organizations in the global geothermal sector.
As part of our mission to foster engagement within the geothermal community, ThinkGeoEnergy has been partnering with Enerchange for the Focus on Geothermal webinar series. In the past year, we offered a total of 22 free webinars covering a diverse range of geothermal-related topics.
The bi-weekly Focus on Geothermal webinar series was launched during the height of the pandemic as a means for project developers, research institutes, startups, and service providers to reach out to a global audience. We have continued with this initiative in the following years, encouraged by a sustained interest from both attendees and speakers.
In the 22 webinars held in 2023, there was an average of 106 attendees from an average of 197 registrants.
The top 3 webinars in the past year in terms of attendance were as follows:
- “Fervo Energy’s ‘Project Red’ Results Are a Historic Breakthrough for Geothermal Energy – and What Comes Next?” with Mark McClure (206 attendees)
- “Mapping permeability and porosity in geothermal systems” with Kate Lewis and Tom Fleure (195 attendees)
- “EU Funding programmes for resources assessment, drilling and geothermal development” with Emil Martini (158 attendees)
Looking forward to 2024, we shall continue to offer our webinar platform to highlight the major developments in the geothermal sector and serving as a central point for communication among various stakeholders in the global setting.
