Registration is now open for the various events that will be part of the New Zealand Geothermal Week to be held in and around the Taupo Volcanic Zone (TVZ) from the 1st to 6th of July 2024.

From networking events and fieldtrips to the annual NZGA Winter Seminar, NZ Geothermal Week 2024 offers an exciting and extensive line-up of events for participants from the industry, education, and community sectors. Check out the full program of the NZ Geothermal Week and the corresponding registration links on the event website.

This year’s NZ Geothermal Week 2024 will be “Geoheat: Every Day, Everyone, Everywhere” with a focus on direct use and cascade utilization of geothermal resources. The versatility of geothermal means that it can deliver not only baseload electricity, but also off-grid heat energy for industrial processes and production systems, and sustainable recovery of minerals.  Baseload electricity and heat energy can also be used to produce other renewable fuels such as hydrogen and wood pellets.

Now in its fourth year, the New Zealand Geothermal Week is jointly organized by Amplify, the economic development agency of the Taupo District, and the New Zealand Geothermal Association. The event organizers would like to invite everyone to share and learn more about the New Zealand geothermal industry and join the journey towards a renewable energy future where the environment, local communities, and businesses thrive.
