Nominations are being accepted for the Innovation Award of the Iceland Geothermal Conference, highlighting innovative approaches in geothermal utilization.

The upcoming Iceland Geothermal Conference has announced a call for nominations for the IGC Innovation Award. This award seeks to highlight innovative approaches and projects in geothermal utilization.

Nominations for the award are being accepted until 30th of April 2024. Please send nominations to info@energycluster.com.

Innovations must demonstrate significant advancements in one or more of the following areas:

  • Climate resilience
  • Sustainability and emission reduction
  • Technological breakthroughs
  • New applications of geothermal energy
  • Improvements in energy output or efficiency

Each nomination should include:

  • A detailed description of the innovation or innovation project (limit to 2 pages)
  • Supporting materials (such as technical documentation, case studies, or testimonials)
  • Contact information of the nominee(s)
  • Individuals or companies can nominate themselves or someone else they believe to be doing great work in the field of geothermal energy.

The nominations will be reviewed by a panel of experts in the field of geothermal energy. The entries will then be evaluated based on the level of innovation, impact, scalability, and feasibility.

The Iceland Geothermal Conference

The winner of the IGC Innovation Award will be announced during the Iceland Geothermal Conference taking place on 28-30 May 2024 in Reykjavik.

With the theme of “Redefine Tomorrow with Geothermal,” IGC serves as a global platform with representation from around 40 countries and around 500 professionals and decision-makers. The event also provides opportunities for face-to-face meetings with a B2B matchmaking event, and an impressive selection of field trips that highlight the versatile applications of geothermal energy in Iceland.
