The International Geothermal Association has announced a partnership with Frontier Energy Network, collaborating for renewable energy development in Africa.

The International Geothermal Association (IGA) has announced a strategic partnership with Frontier Energy Network, with the collaboration geared towards the Africa Energies Summit event.

The Africa Energies Summit will be taking place on the 14th-16th of May 2024 in London, UK. The event aims to highlight the energy industry of Africa, including opportunities for renewable energy. The overall objective is to bring governments, NOCs, regulators, and industry leaders together to connect and collaborating towards progressing Africa’s energy industry,

The strategic partnership is part of IGA’s efforts and commitment to creating synergies with leading organizations in the wider energy space. It also aligns with the organization’s focus on facilitating geothermal development in Africa, a region of great geothermal potential that will benefit greatly from increased support in funding, research, and technology.

Before the end of 2023, Helen Robinson officially joined the IGA as Regional Manager for Africa.
