Tender – Call for experts to evaluate Swiss geothermal projects

The Swiss Federal Office of Energy has published a call for experts to evaluate medium-depth to deep geothermal projects that apply for federal funding.
The Swiss Federal Office of Energy ( Bundesamt für Energie / BFE ) has published a tender for a pool of experts who will assess medium and deep geothermal energy projects that apply for federal subsidies. Experts in the following areas are being sought:
- Drilling engineers
- Reservoir engineers
- Geophysics experts
- Energy engineers
- Production manager
The tender documents can be accessed via this link. The deadline for applications is on 21 November 2023.
IMPORTANT: The experts must be independent of the Swiss market and have good knowledge of French and/or German.
The segment of medium and deep geothermal projects holds plenty of potential in Switzerland and is at the beginning of an important development phase. However, the Swiss market lacks the expertise in this segment for drilling operations and related services and products, hence the tender.
