PPC Renewables has announced a tender for geophysical studies related to a proposed geothermal project in the Island of Lesvos in Greece.

A tender has been announced by PPC Renewables for Land Geophysical Surveys in the area of Petra in Lesvos Island, Greece. The deadline for tender submission will be on 22 April 2024, but this is likely to be extended by a few weeks.

The scope of the tender will include 2D Seismic Reflection, Gravity, and Magnetic Surveys. The work will also include data processing and interpretation, as well as an integrated Geological-Tectonic-Geophysical analysis of all available data.

The tender will be conducted in the electronic platform “tenderONE” under the Electronic Procurement Systems.

Earlier this year, PPC Renewables announced plans of developing a 250-kW pilot geothermal project in the island of Lesvos, with the potential to expand to an 8-MW geothermal power station. PPC Renewables is the renewable energy subsidiary of the state energy company, Public Power Corporation (PPC).
