The strategic partnership leverages the reservoir analysis expertise of Baker Hughes to de-risk the geothermal sites in the global portfolio of Ignis Energy.

Pioneering geothermal energy company Ignis Energy has announced a strategic collaboration with global energy technology leader Baker Hughes aimed at unlocking the potential of geothermal reservoirs from the global portfolio of projects of Ignis Energy.

Ignis Energy boasts a diverse exploration portfolio spanning multiple continents. We have notably reported on multiple prospects in Türkiye and one in Alaska. With access to geophysical and geological data, Ignis Energy is well-positioned to tap into Earth’s natural heat.

Baker Hughes’ reservoir experts will closely collaborate with Ignis Energy to define and characterize its geothermal reservoirs. By leveraging cutting-edge modeling techniques and comprehensive data analysis, the team will establish an in-depth understanding of subsurface conditions. This knowledge will enable precise risk assessment and optimization strategies, ensuring the selection of optimal power generation methods.

Baker Hughes’ involvement will significantly de-risk Ignis Energy’s portfolio. Through rigorous assessments, the team will identify optimal drilling locations, assess reservoir behavior, and quantify resource potential. Minimizing uncertainty is crucial for attracting further investment and accelerating geothermal development.
