Carlo Cariaga 5 Feb 2024

Join us on the 9th of February for a webinar on a pilot project reinjecting NCG into a geothermal reservoir tackling the technology and reservoir response.

As part of the regular Focus on Geothermal Webinar series – a partnership of Enerchange and ThinkGeoEnergy – we are proud to host Ismet Yucetas, Founder and CEO of Middle East Air Drilling Services, for a webinar on “Injection of Non-Condensable Gases in Geothermal Reservoirs.”

In this webinar, Ismet will share details of a pilot project in Türkiye injecting NCG into a geothermal reservoir, the technology involved, and how the reservoir has responded.

Date: 9 February 2024

Time: 14:00 CET / 07:00 CST

Speaker:  Ismet Yucetas, Middle East Air Drilling Services

Ismet Yucetas is a graduate of Middle East Technical Institute in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department. In his early career he specialized in Underbalanced Drilling with the emphasis on how air and gas can be used as a carrier fluid in drilling applications. After working in the fields around Iraq and Turkey, Ismet founded his own company which operates as a turnkey engineering and field services provider.

Ismet has been involved with drilling, testing, intervention, and plugging of approximately over 100 wells in the last 10 years for geothermal wells around Turkey. Resulting from his involvement in Turkish Geothermal fields, Ismet patented a carbon dioxide injection system to eliminate NCG emissions and allow operators to comply with EU/World Bank regulations for geothermal electricity power plants.

Ismet is currently actively involved in onshore and offshore Oil, Gas, and Geothermal projects including a natural gas storage project ongoing in Bulgaria.
