Zorlu Jeotermal Enerji Elektrik Üretimi A.S. (Zorlu Geothermal) has obtained a 30-year operating license for its Kuyucak and Nazilli geothermal resource exploration sites in Aydin, Türkiye, Enerji Gunlugu reported.

The Aydin Investment Monitoring and Coordination Directorate (YIKOB) has approved Zorlu Geothermal’s request to convert the resource exploration licenses of Kuyucak and Nazilli geothermal fields in Aydin province into geothermal resource operating licenses.

Zorlu Geothermal is a wholly owned subsidiary of Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Üretim AS [ZOREN].

With its geothermal, wind, and solar energy investments, Zorlu Enerji is the most important supporter of Türkiye’s goal of increasing the share of renewable energy sources in electricity generation to 30%.
