The definition and development of a storage and transport infrastructure is essential for the ramp up of a hydrogen economy.

The hydrogen flagship project TransHyDE with its fi ve research and four implementation projects is developing solutions how ideal hydrogen infrastructures could be designed in order to create the greatest possible efficiency and resilience. The technological focus of TransHyDE is research and development of transport and storage options for the following molecular energy carriers: gaseous hydrogen (gH2 ), liquid hydrogen (LH2 ), ammonia (NH3 ) and liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC). The project structure of TransHyDE ensures a continuous and mutual exchange between the research and implementati on projects. The close informati on coupling ensures on the one hand applicati onoriented research and on the other hand stateoftheart technical implementati on. In addition, the results obtained are directly incorporated into road mapping processes for the development of a hydrogen infrastructure up to 2045 and the closing of standardization, certifi cation and regulatory gaps.
