Italy's hydrogen highway.

The 314km A22 connects Pianura padana, the city of Modena and the A1 motorway to Austria through the Brenner Pass, located in the municipality of Brenner. According to the concessionaire, there are already 57 electric vehicle charging stations and 22 service areas – along with 24 toll booths. The upgrade will push the number of EV charging points to more than 100. It will also add four hydrogen filling stations to the one existing station that was opened in 2014 in Bolzano Sud. It was the first plant in Italy for the production, storage and distribution of green hydrogen and remains the only such centre in the country.
