It wasn't long ago that folks thought this was impossible...

“In a decade’s time, our region has gone from thinking of 25% renewable-penetration levels as nearly unreachable to a point where we regularly exceed 75% without reliability concerns,” SPP Senior Vice President of Operations Bruce Rew said. “We’re able to manage wind generation more effectively than other, smaller systems can because we’ve got a huge pool of resources to draw from.”

Now it's time to start adding more solar/storage on SPP grid.

We're not in Kansas anymore! Although it must have felt like a tornado with all this wind activity swirling around the plains.

A tornado that lasted the whole day...

Note for the month of March - wind share was 48% for Q1 43% and for full year 2021 35.2%. Let's see if it passes 40% this year.
