FERC proposes new accounts for the Uniform System of Accounts for renewable assets
FERC issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) for creating these new accounts for wind, solar, and other non-hydro renewable assets, energy storage, renewable energy credits, and technology.
Comments can be made for 45 days after publishing in the Federal Register.
This is a welcome addition to your chart of accounts and will stop the need to customize account numbers, plus be an aid in performing and refining electric cost of service studies.
