What is Kinetic 7 and is it the breakthrough energy source the hype is promoting?

I use web crawlers to look for interesting and innovative technological breakthroughs. On May 30, 2022, what follows came into my email inbox. I'm still trying to determine whether this is a hoax or real. But here goes.

Voltage Enterprises is an Abu Dhabi-based company founded a year ago. It describes itself as a disruptive energy innovator. It claims to have invented a zero-carbon emissions fuel that is cheaper than natural gas. It calls the fuel Kinetic 7 (TM). The information I received states:

"The clean gas, which is carbon neutral with net-zero emissions, will give global economies access to a cheap, endless supply of clean energy. Importantly, it will allow countries to maintain the security of their gas and energy supplies whilst also meeting their carbon-neutral net-zero targets. This discovery could play a major role in reversing the global energy crisis, significantly reducing energy costs to the consumer and businesses sectors at a time when the cost-of-living crisis is worsening, and inflation has reached a 40-year high."

Kinetic 7 is harvested from water. Sounds like hydrogen which can also be harvested from water but requires the use of electrolyzers to achieve that feat. But Kinetic 7, unlike hydrogen involves using a technology that causes molecular clustering in the water, and oxidization and friction when an electric current is applied. The end result is a reactive gas that is inert and safe for domestic and commercial use. The mechanism for producing Kinetic 7 can be purchased to plug into homes, factories, and businesses and does the "water-to-Kinetic 7," not the "water-to-wine" conversion of New Testament fame, right on on-site.

According to Rick Parish, Executive Chairman of Aquarius Global, an investment incubator in Abu Dhabi, Kinetic 7 will be 80% cheaper than current energy. With water and a small amount of electricity (DC or AC), an external wall unit attached to a house can be used for cooking, hot water systems, and ambient and underfloor heating. Kinetic 7 generators can be used in large-scale manufacturing as well. And a small portable unit makes it useful for Developing World countries and remote locations with limited access to other energy sources. The company is planning to manufacture Kinetic 7 portable cooking and heating stoves that can draw from clean or untreated water to produce the fuel.

Real-world trials are currently underway and once completed, the company hopes to launch the product globally within a year. Voltage Enterprises is seeking international energy partners to assist in the rollout and marketing.

Is Kinetic 7 for real or an energy hoax? Typical energy scams around green solutions don't read the way this is being presented to the public. But hoaxes have been perpetrated on the public for centuries. Cold fusion, first announced in a paper describing a 1989 experiment, is one of those energy technologies that was paraded in front of the public less than a decade ago and has subsequently led to nothing. We are still waiting for Andrea Rossi's E-Cat (short for Energy Catalyzer) to become a commercial device. Will Voltage Enterprises and Kinetic 7 follow the same path?

A new zero-carbon fuel is being promoted as a panacea for an energy-thirsty world. Is it real or a hoax?

I always worry that 'overhyped' solutions do more damage than good because they set up people to try and wait for those cure-alls rather than embracing the step-wise progress we can make with currently commercial technology. What are your thoughts on that, Len?

I would wait for proof. QUOTE=It claims to have invented a zero-carbon emissions fuel that is cheaper than natural gas.

Like Nuclear would be too cheap to meter. We have to have ALL the FACTS.
