Sorry but I don't see hydrogen as winning for many reasons. 1st the h2 gas can explode. It is costly to make and store. If from water we need all the water we can get.

I have read H2 is 8 times more energy. Also I can't hake H2 on my roof like I do with solar electricity.

The energy that is stored in the battery can be less easily accessed as the time between uses increases, especially for lithium-ion batteries after they have been used many times. The hydrogen, once it is in the tank, won't disappear, and if you leave the vehicle for a month without using it, and then try to start it up again, it should work. Hydrogen may not be the optimal fuel for automobiles, but it may be valuable for larger vehicles, including ships.
