Swati Mandloi, a sustainability business analyst with Singapore-based waste technology company Blue Planet Environmental Solutions, has moved to World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

She joins WWF’s market transformation team, which engages corporates in Southeast Asia in palm oil, plastics, sustainable seafood, climate and the illegal wildlife trade.

Mandloi’s focus will be managing the green group’s climate engagement programme, which helps companies in Singapore decarbonise. The job will involve working with companies on platforms such as the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), which aligns corporate emissions with the Paris Agreement on climate change.

Mandloi is a member of the Singapore Youth for Climate Action (SYCA), and leads the advocacy group’s international climate change negotiations. She represented the youth delegation from Singapore on SYCA’s behalf at COP24 in Katowice, 2018.

At Blue Planet, Mandloi worked on creating a sustainability framework and monitoring system for the integrated waste platform, which uses different technologies to treat different kinds of waste.
