Walmart To Purchase 4,500 Canoo Electric Delivery Vehicles
Walmart has signed a definitive agreement with Canoo, a high-tech advanced mobility company, to purchase 4,500 all-electric delivery vehicles, beginning with the Lifestyle Delivery Vehicle (LDV), with the option to purchase up to 10,000 units. The LDV is expected to begin hitting the road in 2023.
Walmart July 12, 2022, news release:
- Data centers could consume up to 9% of U.S. electricity generation by 2030 – more than double the current use!
- FERC issues landmark transmission planning, cost allocation rule, with dissent over state roles
- Portland General Electric (PGE) joins effort to develop and construct $3.2 billion, 415-mile HVDC interconnector project!
- Hitachi Energy invests $1.5B to make more transformers for grid upgrades
