Green Watt Power releases new 48-volt EV charger

EV charger and DC/DC converter maker Green Watt Power has introduced a new 2,400-watt AC charger designed for EVs, including material handling vehicles, motorcycles, scooters and carts. It will be available in August of 2022.

The EVD2400 has a universal input range of 90 to 264 VAC and an input frequency range of 47 to 63 Hz, which makes it compatible with a range of standard wall power voltages and frequencies. Its output is 48 V and 40 A.

The company says, “With efficiencies up to 93%, the Power Factor Correction (PFC) is 0.99 at 110 VAC in and 0.98 at 220 VAC in.”

The new charger features an operating temperature range of -40 to 60 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees. It’s available in fan-cooled or liquid-cooled versions.

The charger’s protections include OVP, OCP, SCP, OTP and UVLO as well as an IP66-rated package. It is designed to meet UL/CSA, TUV, EN55022 Class B and EN55032 Class B standards.
