WATERTOWN, MASS., (October 25, 2022) – Bosch Thermotechnology, a leading global source of high-quality heating, cooling, and hot water systems, today announced the newest and most advanced addition to its Inverter Ducted Split (IDS) family, IDS Premium Connected. This Air Source Heat Pump system provides maximum comfort with minimum energy usage. It also adds an interactive, connected platform for contractors and homeowners.

Features of the IDS Premium Connected

IDS Premium Connected features wireless connectivity to the Bosch EasyAir App. This allows contractors to easily access the information they need to conduct on-site installation, troubleshooting, and warranty registration. Homeowners can use the Bosch EasyAir app to monitor their energy usage, receive critical alerts, and contact their contractors for maintenance and repairs.

 

The IDS Premium Connected provides a premium 20-plus SEER energy efficiency, whisper-quiet sound levels. They go as low as 56 dBA. Not to mention an easy installation in a small, compact physical footprint. The fully modulating inverter compressor offers 36 percent to 130 percent capacity with modulation in 1 percent increments. This capability allows the IDS Premium Connected to precisely match the heating and cooling load while achieving maximum efficiency. This system also has a heating seasonal performance rating of 10.5.

 

Moreover, it can provide heating even when outdoor temperatures drop as low as -4° F (-20°C). The accompanying air handler includes a two-stage x13 electronically commutated motor blower for enhanced humidity control. Also, an all-aluminum coil for superior corrosion resistance. The IDS Premium connected outdoor unit is available in 36k BTU and 60k BTU capacity.

The Los Angeles City Council approved moving forward with the Los Angeles Green Business Certification Program. The City of Los Angeles’ initiative, to be administered by the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), will provide information on how to identify a green business and how businesses can adopt sustainable practices. One of the aims is to enable consumers to support firms that strive to protect the environment. The program was announced at a news conference at Ciudad restaurant. Green Seal, Inc., the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Green Globe and dineLA, a part of LA INC, The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau will join the LACCD in its work on this effort.
Joe Veilleux doesn’t view himself as an environmentalist, but he understands how his actions might paint him with that brush. “I’m not an environmentalist,” said Veilleux, general manager of the U.S. operations of natural health ingredient manufacturer Euromed. “I’m a pragmatist. There’s a difference. A lot of environmentalists have characterized their cause as one that pits them directly against corporate America. I’m part of corporate America, but I also recognize the debt I owe to the environment and want to do my fair share to protect it. In the long run, it’s just good for business and there are plenty of examples throughout history of how our environment is one of our most valuable natural resources.” Veilleux’s company is partner with the Everglades Foundation in a campaign dubbed Glade-iator (www.glade-iator.org), which is a model of the public-private partnership Veilleux believes is good for business.
