Carbon Orchard: A Technology To Capture Climate Change Emissions From Ambient Air
The global inventory of carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) and carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) remains very small and needs rapid scaling to meet the IPCC target of between 350 and 1,200 gigatons captured to keep the atmospheric warming no higher than 1.5 Celsius. Direct Air Capture (DAC) represents a small subset of CCS and CCUS-developed and planned sites. A recent startup, Spiritus, believes its invention, Carbon Orchard, will be a DAC gamechanger keeping the cost at less than US $100 per ton.
Carbon Orchard: A Technology To Capture Climate Change Emissions From Ambient Air
Carbon Forest is a technology developed by a new Los Alamos-based startup. It claims the technology removes 1,000 times more CO2 than a natural forest and won't die or burn to pollute.
