US-based SaaS provider Powerfleet has expanded its Unity intelligence platform with the addition of the Sustainability Data-Powered Application, which is designed to advance ESG initiatives by helping fleets to minimize carbon footprint and material waste, improve maintenance and fuel efficiency, assist with government mandate compliance and lower operating costs.

Powerfleet says the application is powered by data science and insights from Unity, its agnostic platform that is compatible with any IoT/telematics device, vehicle or business system and provides parameters beyond those from OEMs. It consists of a dashboard with insights and real-time monitoring and alerts for fleet managers, and a mobile app for drivers.

Data is provided that is related to CO₂ emissions, vehicle efficiency, eco scoring, budgeting and planning, and EV fleet conversion.
