We all love a TED Talk. Here’s one of our favorites:
As air travel continues to revive after the pandemic lull, we found this talk from Virgin Atlantic CEO Shai Weiss about sustainability in aviation timely. It’s clear that flying isn’t going to slow down, but it’s also clear that as a society we need to find a way to travel responsibly.
In conversation with TED's head of curation Helen Waters, Weiss reveals three steps the aviation industry must take in order to achieve its pledge to be net-zero by 2050. He also addresses what regular travelers can do to encourage airlines to put more emphasis on sustainability. "We have a 2050 goal, but actions need to be taken right here, right now.”
