Stanlow | FEED study of 1,000MW hydrogen project
Stanlow | UK
EET Hydrogen has announced the Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) of its HPP2 hydrogen production project at Stanlow site in Cheshire, UK, has begun.
The company has also rebranded from Vertex Hydrogen Limited (VHL) to EET Hydrogen as it intends to move from being an Essar Oil UK (EOUK) subsidiary to a sister company and become a standalone pillar of the Essar Energy Transition (EET) portfolio.
The HPP2 project will have up to a 1,000MW capacity and is expected to produce around 230,000 tonnes of low carbon hydrogen annually, suitable for local industrial and power generation customers.
Companies such as Tata Chemicals Europe, Cadent, Carrington Power and Encirc, along with others, are now supporting the project.
