WA power outage: cars queue hundreds of metres for petrol as Kalgoorlie hit by blackout - video

Thousands of Kalgoorlie residents are still without power after the town's main transmission line was damaged by lightning on Wednesday. With businesses shut down, the queue for petrol in Kambalda — 50km from Kalgoorlie — stretched dozens of cars long. Glenn Wilson, mayor of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder council, said repair of the power lines could take up to a week.
