Power Hungry Cryptocurrencies
Do supporters of cryptocurrencies have any idea how bad they are for the environment?
I’ve never understood the notion of creating a currency out of thin air. And I’m old enough to have lived through numerous Wall Street scams including the dot.com debacle, Enron et al, and of course the latest fleecing of the average Joe in the 2008 housing crisis. So if I’m slightly skeptical of the veracity of cryptocurrency chalk it up to age.
Nonetheless, even if I believed in the concept, there’s another reason not to be supportive of cryptocurrencies. And it’s one that the younger generations should pay attention to. The reason is revealed in this video.
