Germany's disastrous anti-nuclear policies...
How it started:
2002 - Gerhard Schröder announces plans to phase out all nuclear power by 2022
2010 - Angela Merkel delays the plan.
2011 - Angela Merkel puts shut-down plan back on track after Fukishima
2018 - Trump warns Germany about their dependence on Russian gas.
Jan 2022 - Germany shuts down 3 out of 6 remaining nuclear plants.
How it's going:
To transition to a carbon-lite or carbon-free future, we need to lean on proven technologies (nuclear) as a stepping stone as unproven sustainable base-load technologies are given a chance to come into their own.
France is a leader in Europe in this regard.
