Back in July, Inhabitat introduced readers to the Solo New York brand, a sustainable fashion company making bags out of recycled plastic water bottles. Solo New York’s recycled fabric production starts with discarded plastic bottles. We took one on a hike down to McClures Beach in Point Reyes, California in the height of summer.

These bags, along with the tea bags and tags, are certified biodegradable and household compostable. The colorful and artistic box designs are printed with vegetable ink so the boxes can also go into the recycling or the compost bin. I’m not sure how they achieved the subtle cream flavor, but it’s there.
