Poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large group of emerging contaminants that have been used in a wide array of commercial goods and products since the 1940s. To comprehensivley detect PFAS in products such as firefighting foams and in the environment in soils and waters, the total oxidisable precursor (TOP) assay is required.
