Improving energy efficiency isn’t just a matter of replacing equipment. Behavior change is essential to realizing the potential of upgrades to lightning and HVAC systems.

As a step toward this transformation, Stockton Unified School District has engaged students as energy monitors. The impact on the district’s ROI from its energy upgrades has been significant. That’s not the only benefit – staff are discovering that students are going home and taking on the role of educators with their parents, pointing the way to ways to save energy (and help the planet) at home.
