Recycling Solutions Summit

Recycling is at a crossroads and it’s time we make progress. Together we can make recycling thrive in California and across the U.S.

So, let’s recycle right!

Recycling, one of the most important actions we all can do to protect our existence on the planet, is in crisis and recycling plants are shutting down. In the state of California alone, more than 450 recycling plants have shut down recently and thousands of cargo containers filled with U.S. recycling that were once ready to sell to China are now sitting idly and are likely going to be sent to the landfill.

One of the primary reasons that U.S. recycling is in a crisis is because people are often throwing garbage in recycling bins as a result of confusion, apathy or even skepticism about recycling.  The millions of tons of garbage thrown in recycling bins are too expensive to sort out and remove, making processing of recycling cost-prohibitive.

Join us for a Recycling Summit that will give you insight into the current crisis with recycling and what’s being done to fix it.  We will introduce you to a simple nonprofit national solution that is making it easier for people to begin to recycle more and recycle right, wherever they might be . The solution has been implemented in settings ranging from the Super Bowl, to national parks, to major corporations, as well as airports, cities, states, households, schools etc.   And the results are dramatic.
