Biosolids and Bioresources virtual event presents an update on the latest technology

The 2020 European Biosolids and Bioresources Conference is taking place online, on 24 and 25 November, organised by environmental consultancy Aqua Enviro.

Keynote speakers include Alison Ferguson from Ofwat, who will open the event by looking at “Pandemic impacts on AMP delivery”; Jesse Wright of United Utilities, who will discuss “A review of options for further market participation in bioresources”; and Nigel Watts, Head of Wastewater Treatment at Thames Water, who will present on how the utility has responded organisationally to Covid restrictions, and the lessons learned to date.

Other sessions will cover topics including advances in anaerobic digestion (such as process optimisation and integration), thermal hydrolysis, AD liquors and ammonia removal, bioresource supply chain and resource optimisation, biosolids to land (benefits and alternatives), Covid monitoring in sewage sludges, and sludge thickening and dewatering.
