Heliox to deliver mobile DC chargers to PACCAR EVs in North America

Heliox, a provider of DC charging systems for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, has signed a supply agreement with PACCAR Parts to support the rollout of PACCAR’s electric vehicles in North America.

PACCAR Parts provides aftermarket parts to DAF, Kenworth and Peterbilt dealerships and TRP stores around the world.

Heliox will supply mobile 25 kW and 50 kW chargers to PACCAR dealers and customers who are building their electric truck fleets. The mobile chargers are lightweight and portable, and often use existing electric infrastructure. Each charger is backed by a one-year warranty with an option to extend for up to two years.

Heliox conducts ongoing interoperability testing with new medium- and heavy-duty vehicles to ensure that its equipment is compatible and reliable. Heliox chargers can be monitored and controlled using an EV Service Provider software via cloud-based Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP).

“Heliox offers our dealers and customers flexible EV charger solutions that are a great option for locations with limited space,” said Brooke Vasquez, PACCAR Parts Senior Director of Marketing. “Heliox mobile chargers are a great entry point for early fleet deployment and dealer workshops, offering quick installation with limited construction and infrastructure.”

“Kenworth and Peterbilt electric vehicles are being delivered across North America,” said PACCAR Parts General Manager Laura Bloch. “Heliox works closely with our customers to meet their charging needs as we ramp up electric vehicle deployment.”
