Guild Education secures $150 million to upskill frontline workers

ImpactAlpha, June 3 — Denver-based Guild Education has raised $150 million in a Series E round backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Cowboy Ventures, D1 Capital Partners, Emerson Collective, General Catalyst, GSV, Harrison Metal, ICONIQ, Next Play Capital, Redpoint Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures.

The financing brings the company’s valuation to nearly $3.8 billion.

Guild helps wage workers start or return to degree programs with corporate tuition assistance programs it has developed for clients like Chipotle, Discover, Walmart and Disney (See, “Reskilling frontline workers, Guild Education becomes a B Corp unicorn).

It is aiming to tackle two current trends in the American workforce: a massive shortage of frontline workers and the need for more tech-skilled workers in the future.
