What fits in a Tesla Model 3? It’s not every day that you need to transport 700 square feet of flooring — unless you are in the flooring or construction business. However, people often need to move things — large things or large quantities of things. A few tweets show that from flat-screen TVs, to bodies, to 700 square feet of laminate flooring, pretty much anything will fit inside the cargo space of a Tesla Model 3.

One of the many things people consider when buying a car is cargo space. Combined with the normal trunk space, the Model 3’s cargo space includes the frunk and a large compartment under the main trunk floor.

In 2016, Jalopnik said that a flaw of the Model 3 is its trunk because it should have been a hatch. They also think that the rear glass is nice but that there “will be many Model 3 owners ready to smash that stupid glass as they struggle to get a stroller or bicycle or some other common but bulky item into the back of the car.” (Editor’s note: I just transported a small toddler bike and a little kid’s bike in the back of our Model 3 today, with the back seat up like normal — didn’t think to take pictures, though.)

It seems that people worrying about the size and design needn’t have worried. With the seats down, the Model 3 has quite a bit of room for pretty much anything. 43.6 cubit feet of cargo space is ample enough for hauling gear or other large bulky items. So, What Fits?

An IKEA king-size bed frame fits in a Model 3, as Juan Hernández was able to demonstrate for us on Twitter. This led to others talking about what they were able to fit inside their Model 3 vehicles. He inspired a few others to reply back with their own creative ways of using their cargo space.

ILuvAmp was able to fit his four large Velux Skylights and trim kits inside his Model 3. For those who may not know what these are, it’s a skylight window for your roof. Some can span up to 10 feet.

Twitter user White Lightning was able to fit 700 square feet of laminate flooring inside his Model 3. It sounds impossible, but in a Tetris-style arrangement, he shows that it can be done.

Another IKEA shopper was happy with the cargo space of their Model 3 when transporting sustainable furniture — transporting sustainable furniture in a sustainable car is a double win, for sure.

RealTurnerMedia actually shot a video of things they could put into their Model 3. Some of the things that fit included themselves (the bodies I mentioned at the beginning of this article), a stroller, and several pieces of luggage.

Gret Woodfill was able to fit a 65-inch flatscreen TV in his Model 3, and considered this a pass for his first cargo space test.

Whatever your cargo needs are, the Model 3 definitely brings its A-game to the table. I am curious to see what else could fit.
