Join industry experts for an in-depth discussion on the benefits of Plug&Charge using an ISO/IEC 15118 enabled EV Charging Station and operational secure digital ecosystem.

On April 9, join e-mobility industry experts and the CleanTechnica team for a live webinar to learn more about the development, implementation, and benefits of an innovative Plug&Charge ecosystem using ISO/IEC 15118. The webinar will show how a real-world operational charging ecosystem makes EV charging easier, more secure, and scalable for all electric vehicle (EV) use cases.

The panel of industry experts includes:

  • Noel Crisostomo, Air Pollution Specialist — Transportation Electrification, California Energy Commission
  • Katie Fehrenbacher, Senior Writer, Analyst, Transportation, GreenBiz
  • Daniel Feldman, Vice President of Product Management, Enel X North America, Inc.
  • Barton Sidles, Sr. Director of Corporate and Business Development, Hubject Inc.
  • Richard Tai, Sr. Associate VP, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS)
  • Oleg Logvinov, CEO, IoTecha Inc.

The webinar will be held on Thursday, April 9, at 9:00am PDT/12:00pm EDT.

Plug&Charge has many advantages for the EV driver and for the industry. The benefits of using ISO/IEC 15118 results in a robust and interoperable ecosystem that is both scalable and economical.

The electric vehicle industry made the decision to follow this path over a decade ago with the development of ISO/IEC 15118. This effort led to the implementation of driver-focused Plug&Charge, grid-focused Smart Charging and bi-directional charging, and most importantly, the way to achieve economies of scale through consistent design and implementation of interoperable systems. Uniformity eliminates the risk associated with purchasing charging equipment by ensuring each item works and communicates the same way. This increases the quality and features available while creating a future-proofed system.

The ISO/IEC 15118 ecosystem is growing rapidly, and the latest developments will be shared during this free webinar highlighting the ECS and IoTecha charging interoperability testing lab. The lab at the ECS facility in Newark, California, utilizes Hubject’s vehicle-to-grid (V2G) root to enable ISO/IEC 15118 interoperability testing between charging stations and EVs produced by various automakers. Usually this type of testing is a difficult process as it requires multiple stakeholders to be fully integrated. ECS, IoTecha, and Hubject joined forces to solve this problem, simplifying the process for EV and EV supply equipment (EVSE) manufacturers to test ISO/IEC 15118 and their Plug&Charge implementations.

Register to attend on April 9, at 9:00am PDT/12:00pm EDT to learn more about the industry-leading operational Plug&Charge ecosystem. Attendees will be able to ask questions in real time and get answers from the panel experts.
