The world is often full of exciting and innovative research, with the greatest minds of our civilization looking to make tomorrow a better place. We often get to see first-hand accounts of this work in action on a regular basis. It’s always exciting and endearing to see, and it gives us a sense of real perspective about what we could achieve. With the first wave of the energy transition, renewable energy sources (such as solar and wind) have begun replacing coal power generation. However, some sectors are lagging behind and struggling to decarbonize more than others, including large-scale transportation like commercial aviation, shipping, and rail transit. Electrofuels (aka eFuels) are the next generation of solutions to help the hardest-to-abate sectors pivot from their reliance on fossil fuels.

We finally heard about Kitty Hawk's "secret project," which sports the strange name of Heaviside. It introduces the notion of range for an electric vertical take-off & landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The demonstration of the aircraft flying is fantastic but I wonder if we're about to witness another "range anxiety" war between eVTOL manufacturers? Let's hope not.

April 2016, having seen the Tesla Model 3 being revealed by Elon Musk via the live stream, I was tempted to reserve one as soon as I saw that reservations were open to Indian buyers too. I pulled the trigger on 7th April 2016 and reserved a Model.

As new buyers are researching Tesla and deciding which Model 3 version to buy, some of the options can be a bit confusing. And if you delve into the various social media groups and discussion forums, things can get even worse. One particular version of the Model 3 which is a bit of a unicorn is the so-called "Stealth" or "Sleeper" Performance model.

With 191 country signatories to the Paris Climate Agreement now hard at work in the race to zero carbon by 2050, much of the heavy lifting in ecosystem sustainability falls on the shoulders of the world's densely populated urban centers. This conversation considers how today's AI-enabled simulation media, such as AR/VR, can be effectively applied to accelerate learning, understanding, training, and solutions-modeling to sustainability planning and design.

Californians love to be outside. But even on a clear, sunny day, we know that the air we are breathing isn’t as clean and clear as it looks, especially in our increasingly congested and crowded cities. Air quality is a complex topic that is affected by the weather, the time of day, and events like wildfires. But one aspect of air quality is very clear: tailpipe emissions make air quality worse.

The Climate 4.0 Economy. Climate change is here. We see it in many ways already. Weather catastrophes: Texas freezing over, the wildfires of California, the increasingly unpredictable violence and frequency of hurricanes, the rapid melting and disappearance of polar ice caps. Much more evidence all around us. What can we do in our corporate organizations, in our homes and communities, to change the current course?

Global warming and climate change get a lot of attention -- well, not in the mainstream media, but among niche media outlets like CleanTechnica. However, whether in the mainstream media or in niche publications, some of the big challenges of a quickly changing climate are not often highlighted, and I'm quite confident that most people haven't considered them at all.

It seemed to me that Audi (under the VAG Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft) with the extravagant technical achievement of the A2 had made a profound statement of peak efficiency of the internal combustion engine that it seemed impossible to surpass, and the next big surprise from this respected automobile giant would be an electric long-range model. I was certain I would be trading in my diesel A2 with an electric A2 soon enough.

Okay, so I’m sitting in the car waiting for my whole family (husband and two little girls) to come back from a quick stop for shopping. The car is plugged in and charging at a Tesla Supercharger (thank you to buyers who used our referral code). My husband came up with a funny phrase to describe a "park & plug" state, which is "plark." So, you could say I'm sitting in a "plarked" car in a Tesla "plarking lot.".
