MITSUI E&S Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takeyuki Takahashi; hereinafter “MITSUI E&S”) is pleased to announce the commencement of the sale of high-flow hydrogen compressors tailored for hydrogen station facilities and hydrogen production equipment.
This compressor represents the high-flow upsizing of the high-pressure hydrogen compressors produced by our group company, KAJI TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION (Headquarters: Sakai City, Osaka; President: Katsunori Matsuoka; hereinafter “KAJI”), which has the largest share market of the high-pressure hydrogen compressors for hydrogen stations market in Japan. Manufactured based on KAJI’s extensive expertise in high-pressure

hydrogen compression technology and our long track record in large-scale high-flow compressors for petroleum refining and chemical plants both domestically and internationally, the compressor underwent long-term durability testing at our Tamano factory beginning in November 2023, confirming its high reliability and durability.

With the ability to compress hydrogen to up to 50 MPa at a flow rate of 95 kg/h, this compressor enables the supply of hydrogen at a flow rate higher than previous products on the market. Just one compressor can handle the pressurization of the hydrogen generated by a 5 MW-class water electrolysis unit.

In addition to the reduced initial investment cost, users can expect lifecycle costs, including operating and maintenance expenses, to be reduced.
As the hydrogen society expands, MITSUI E&S is committed to contributing to the realization of a carbon-neutral society by providing various products and services with superior cost-effectiveness and reliability for the high-pressure hydrogen gas manufacturing, transportation and utilization sectors, where the market is expected to expand.

Specification of Hydrogen Compressor
