Green California Schools & Higher Education Summit
Mixer and Leadership Awards

We invite you to join us at the Leadership Awards which will be presented at the Green California Schools and Higher Education Summit. Attend the mixer and presentations to learn about, and to celebrate the outstanding projects on California campuses and to network with Summit attendees at the mixer prior to the awards presentations.

The categories are:

Pioneer – A person who begins or helps develop something new in the area of sustainability and prepares the way for others to follow.

College or University – A Community College or University project or program that creates change in the area of sustainability and environmental progress.

School – A K-12 school with noteworthy sustainability projects that have changed the way the school performs and manages it’s campus.

District – A district wide project or program that creates change in the area of sustainability and environmental progress.

Environmental Literacy – Implementation of California’s Environmental Literacy principles with student engagement, addressing a wide range of areas.

Teacher – A Teacher that has demonstrated leadership in the realm of sustainability, Environmental Literacy or who is connecting classroom learning to the facility or campus.

Environmental Champion – A Company, Project or Organization that demonstrates significant achievements helping to advance California’s Sustainability efforts.
