Engineer I /Senior Engineer (Hybrid Schedule)

Prepare or assist in the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, standards, studies, cost estimates and the development of sound technical recommendations, in support of projects and tasks managed by others within the department or other departments. Responsible for engineering calculations to solve problems for new facilities and repairs/modifications to existing facilities related to the SDGE electric and gas transmission/distribution system. Works on more complex projects than a lower level engineer.

Fleet Maintenance Technician

Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the company light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles, construction vehicles, work equipment, and the security of Company assets assigned to the garage. Responsible for the appropriate use of company resources while maintaining compliance with all governmental regulations and corporate policies and procedures; perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Domain Architect – Cybersecurity (Location to be AZ or NV)

The Domain Architect – Cybersecurity defines overall direction of architecture for cybersecurity, aligned to business strategy and enterprise architecture. Translates strategy into blueprints and designs for the overall architecture of the company’s cybersecurity capabilities to ensure that the balance between business outcomes and security risk is maintained. As a specialist in cybersecurity, facilitates and defines IT architecture solutions to define strategy. Owns and maintains standards, patterns, and guardrails. Acts as an advisor and expert to engage with engineering and product teams to drive security framework and best practices.

Specifically, this position is focusing on cybersecurity with extensive backgrounds in application security, embedded security, network penetration testing, reverse engineering, exploit development, risk management and related Information Security disciplines.

Energy Procurement Advisor (Hybrid Schedule)

Administers SDG&E tariffed and fixed-contract programs for the procurement of long-term power supplies and provides key inputs to tariff program design and filings required to secure regulatory approval. On select procurement programs, leads the design and conduct of requests for offers and other competitive solicitation activities. Actively participates as assigned in the design, negotiation, and execution of complex, multi-million dollar commercial transactions for long-term supplies of electric energy and capacity on behalf of SDG&E retail customers. Ensures commercial contracts are in compliance with company policies and regulatory decisions and develops CPUC Advice Letters and Applications to secure approval of negotiated contracts. Serves as lead liaison between the Origination and Settlements function to ensure commercial contracts are designed for effective SDG&E management throughout the life of the contract. Interfaces with CPUC staff, ratepayer representatives and other stakeholders as SGD&E’s contracting representative.

Engineer- I/Sr. Substation Engineer (4 Days Onsite for First Year + In the Field)

Customer Programs Measurement and Evaluation Supervisor (Hybrid Schedule)

Manages a group of experts that provide key analytical support in the evaluation, measurement, verification (EM&V) and cost effectiveness of Demand Side Management (DSM) programs, including energy efficiency, demand response and Low-Income programs. Responsible for maintaining relationships and conducting complex statistical studies with statewide agencies, including the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and California Energy Commission (CEC) staff, and other major stakeholders. Works with leadership to develop high level strategy regarding program and portfolio design, and potentially serves as a witness in CPUC hearings.

Land Management Manager (Hybrid Schedule)

Provides direction, supervision and leadership of the Land Management and Land Support groups. Resolves complex land rights related issues. Monitors work request system reports and performance-based metrics to ensure timely delivery of service to external customers and that internal service level agreements are met. Identifies process improvement opportunities and leads team through change driven by process improvements, regulatory and legal compliance. Ensures contractor performance of Land Management and Land Support group functions.

Senior Software Engineer – Smart Meter Analytics & Innovation (Hybrid Schedule)

The Smart Meter Analytics & Innovation Senior Software Engineer position is a hands-on full stack software engineer technical role that designs, develops, delivers, and maintains technology applications and systems. Working within an Agile/Scrum framework, this individual contributor is responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance for the Meter Data Systems group, providing specialized technical knowledge that will enable the IT Business organizations to achieve key quarterly and annual business objectives. This position will collaborate with company customers, staff, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to define customer requirements and system interfaces, assess available technologies, and develop and present demonstrations of proposed software solutions. Acts as internal software developer consultant, providing technical guidance or business process expertise on the most complex projects while researching strategic planning matters from a technical or business standpoint. Develops N-Tier applications, including front-end or back-end features and functionality, such as systems, interfaces, databases, business intelligence systems, or other applications or systems that deliver business value. May work on more complex products, such as those with dependencies on systems or applications owned by other teams, demonstrating a strong ability to quickly solve challenging and unique technical problems facing the team.

As experienced member of software development teams, shares knowledge and provides coaching and mentorship to other software engineers. Demonstrates a strong ability to collaborate with team members of all skill levels to develop and upgrade systems and application software.

Account Executive (May Be Filled at Higher Level) (Hybrid Schedule)

Develops and manages relationships with large and commercial, industrial and public sector customers throughout the Company’s service territory. Acts as a single point of contact ensuring customers are informed and comply with all applicable service options, tariffs and rules while strategically offering customers energy solutions and value-added services in the form of various program offerings, rate options and new technologies. Manages all customer’s operational service-related demands including supporting customers during Public Safety Power Shutoffs or other emergency situations such as customer outages or EOC activations.

Right-of-Way Agent (Can be filled at higher level) (Hybrid Schedule)

Acquires land rights on new business jobs and major projects that require an intermediate level of experience and expertise in acquisition matters. Reviews, directs, and approves work done by contracted right-of-way agents. Negotiates acquisition of easement rights, temporary or permanent, with private and public landowners. Provides guidance and training to internal client groups and consultants. Reviews appraisals that lead to Fair Market Value (FMV) offers of compensation and support the Legal Department in eminent domain cases and on major project land related matters.

Project Manager III – Transmission Planning/Grid Integration (Hybrid Schedule)

Provide leadership for the planning, development, and implementation of large-scale, major strategic business and technology projects. Effectively collaborate with internal departments, stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and vendors to define requirements, assess alternatives and present solutions to business challenges. Responsible for budget and resource planning. Single point of contact for all economic and regulatory issues for the assigned projects.

May provide direction to a small group of direct reports (09504, 15429).

Claims Advisor (Hybrid Schedule)

Investigate, analyze and settle liability and property damage claims filed by or against the Company within prescribed monetary limits. Assist in performing assignments related to the damage prevention and awareness program as required. Respond to highly sensitive situations, which may involve severe injuries and/or fatalities. Act as a witness at court hearings on behalf of the Company. Respond to after-hours events as required per department needs.

Business Services Account Supervisor (Hybrid Schedule)

Provides leadership and coordinates the work product for team of account executives that manages relationships with large and commercial, industrial and public sector customers throughout the Company’s service territory. Oversees the Account Executive’s to ensure activities support the mission, vision, strategic plan, goals and management decisions and specifically to lead team to develop best business practices, forge strong working relationships and provide excellent customer service to SDGE’s largest and complex commercial, industrial, public sector and/or Energy Markets customers. Domain Architect – Cloud, Observability, & Platforms (Hybrid Schedule)

The Domain Architect – Cloud ideal candidate should possess expertise in tools rationalization/consolidation, cloud migration, and a comprehensive understanding of observability strategy. As a Monitoring Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust monitoring solutions for both the on-premises and the cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

The Domain Architect – Cloud translates requirements into blueprints for business process, data, infrastructure, applications, or platforms to be configured or created in the Cloud. Drives development and implementation of company’s cloud strategies and contributes to cloud roadmap and delivery strategy. Responsible for ensuring onboarding of Cloud Services, designing and implementing Cloud-based strategies to automate repeatable tasks, decrease risks, and speed deployment.

As a specialist in Cloud technologies and the company journey to the Cloud, facilitates definition of IT architecture for Cloud-based systems, applications, and/or infrastructure, owning and maintaining standards, technical architecture patterns, and reference architectures. Provides guidance and leadership to cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of modern software engineering practices enabled by Cloud technology, including Site Reliability Engineering, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Works with Contractors through Contract Manager directly or their back office support for any assigned work, to lead status meetings with contract manager to review progress and quality of assigned work. Assists as needed with providing company protocols, scope of work, and contract adjustments where valid and approved by company.
