At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, Tata Motors showcases its commitment to green mobility, with a special focus on its hydrogen-powered vehicles.

The display includes the Prima H.55S, an industry-first hydrogen-powered internal combustion engine (H2 ICE) truck designed for eco-friendly goods transport.

Amid the global climate change scenario, the world is moving towards cleaner automotive fuel. The Government of India has taken an ambitious target of reducing the emissions intensity by 45% by 2030. Hydrogen, driven by its non-emission characteristics, is turning out to be one of the most environment-friendly fuel solutions, from creation to consumption. In automotive applications, Hydrogen fuel cell technology is emerging as a promising alternative for fossil fuels. Hydrogen has the highest energy content of any fuel we use today. On a weight basis, hydrogen has nearly three times the energy content of gasoline. In comparison to other renewable fuels, hydrogen as fuel used in IC engines offers minimal or zero CO2 emissions with blue or green hydrogen. Tata Motors has taken significant initiatives towards developing hydrogen fuel-based products and has been leading the development of Hydrogen-powered vehicles. The Tata Prima H.55S is an industry-first vehicle to move goods in an environmental-friendly manner with optimal cost of operations.

Highlights:

  • Cummins 6.7L H2engine with 290HP and 1200Nm
  • Max Range of 350-500km
  • Superior fuel economy as compared to conventional fuels
  • Lower overall maintenance of vehicles as compared to diesel-powered vehicle
  • Prima cabin with best-in-class comfort & convenience
  • Enhanced driver safety with Active & Passive Safety Features: HSA, ESC, CMS, LDWS, DMS, TPMS
  • Best-in-class performance with higher engine power and torque
