Recycle personal care product waste

Did you know you can recycle razors, deodorant containers, toothpaste tubes and brushes, and waste from other personal care products?

The Resilient Activist and Compost Collective KC are sponsoring  a recycling drop-off site and pickup services. Personal care product waste will be collected by Compost Collective KC during regular pickup for current customers or at Kansas City’s Brookside Farmers’ Market during regular market hours. The Resilient Activist will send recyclables to TerraCycle for recycling.

Accepted waste includes all brands of mouthwash bottles and caps, toothpaste tubes and brushes, floss containers, soap packaging, deodorant containers and caps, disposable razors, replacement blade cartridges and flexible and rigid razor plastic bag packaging.

For more information, visit The Resilient Activist, a community resource for environmental resilience and action, or contact [email protected]. Additional recycling resources include Bridging the Gap’s Recycle program or Recycle Spot.
